Alexander Sitkovetsky, born in 1983 in Moscow, is a Russian-British violinist.
He began playing violin at the age of six and later studied at the Yehudi
Menuhin School in London to begin his violin studies. He participated in
masterclasses with Maxim Vengerov. He played the slow movement of Bach's Double
Concerto with Nicola Benedetti at Yehudi Menuhin's funeral. In 2007, Sitkovetsky
formed the Sitkovetsky Trio with pianist Wu Qian and cellist Leonard
Elschenbroich. Since September 2023, Sitkovetsky has served as the artistic
director of the NFM Leopoldinum Orchestra in Wrocław.
