Alex Reece is a pioneering British drum’n’bass producer and DJ whose
jazz-infused style helped shape the sound of the genre’s first wave of
mainstream recognition. Emerging from London’s fertile jungle scene in the early
1990s, he initially worked as a studio engineer before releasing tracks on
influential labels such as Moving Shadow and Basement. His big break came when
Goldie signed him to Metalheadz, where his sleek, musical approach stood out
