Alex Harvey

Alexander James Harvey, known professionally as Alex Harvey, was a Scottish rock and blues musician. Harvey began a career in 1954 with skiffle groups and led Alex Harvey's Big Soul Band between 1958 and 1965. In 1972, he formed the Sensational Alex Harvey Band (SAHB), featuring Zal Cleminson, Chris Glen, Ted McKenna, and Hugh McKenna. SAHB achieved success in Britain with singles including “Next” (1973), “The Faith Healer” (1974), and a cover of “Delilah” (1975), which reached number 7.
