Alerta Kamarada
Alerta Kamarada, a Colombian reggae group from Bogotá, formed in 1996. Initially
conceived as a ska band, the group shifted toward reggae two years later and
became an important force in Colombia’s reggae scene. They released their debut
album, Alerta, in 2004, followed by Somos Uno (2006), recorded in Jamaica and
produced by Sly Dunbar. Later releases included Kaliente (2009) and Historias de
Pueblo (2010), which featured guest appearances from musicians including Alfredo
