Alcazar, a Swedish nu-disco group formed in Stockholm in 1998, consisted of
Andreas Lundstedt, Tess Merkel, and Annika "Annikafiore" Kjærgaard. The trio
gained initial success with their first single "Shine On" before achieving
international recognition with "Crying at the Discoteque" (2000), which charted
in multiple countries, including the US, Brazil, Australia, Japan, and many
European countries. This breakthrough led to the release of their debut album
