Alberto Wolf
Alberto "Mandrake" Wolf is a Uruguayan singer, songwriter, and guitarist born in
Montevideo, Uruguay, on April 17, 1962. One of the most prominent figures of
Montevidean music starting in the 1980s, he developed a style blending candombe
and murga with rock and reggae. Wolf made his recording debut in 1984 with a
shared cassette release on the Ayuí / Tacuabé label, featuring his own songs on
one side and tracks by the group El Cuarteto de Nos on the other. In 1985, he
