Akira Kushida, born on October 17, 1946, is a legendary Japanese singer known
for his powerful voice and iconic work in anime and tokusatsu theme songs. He
made his debut in 1969 with the single "Karappo no Seishun" and soon joined
NHK’s Stage 101 as part of the music group Young 101. His career took a pivotal
turn in 1981 when composer Chumei Watanabe invited him to sing the opening for
the tokusatsu series Taiyo Sentai Sun Vulcan. This led to a prolific career
