Ahya Simone
Ahya Simone, born September 4, 1992 in Detroit, Michigan, is an American harpist
and multi-disciplinary artist who began playing harp at sixteen. After serving
as principal harpist at Wayne State University, she shifted to contemporary
styles, releasing the single "Frostbite" in 2020 and collaborating with cktrl on
"mazes" in 2021. In 2024, she issued the single "Liminal" featuring Tapiwa
Svosve, followed by her EP Neptunian Blue in 2025. She earned a 2018 Kresge
Artist Fellowship as the first Black trans woman recipient and partnered with
Kelela on Take Me a_Part, the Remixes. H...
