Agnaldo Timóteo Pereira (born October 16, 1936) was a Brazilian MPB and bolero
singer and politician from Caratinga, Minas Gerais. Timóteo held various jobs,
including shining shoes and selling food, before singing in radio programs in
Governador Valadares. After moving to Rio de Janeiro, Timóteo worked as a driver
for the singer Ângela Maria. Timóteo released the debut studio album Surge um
astro in 1965. The singer recorded more than 50 albums and reached national
prominence with the recording "Meu Grito" by Roberto Carlos. Other recordings
