Adrián Abonizio, born 31 July 1956 in Rosario, Argentina, is a singer‑songwriter
and guitarist whose music is rooted in the traditional Rosario trova genre. He
began his career with the Trova Rosarina collective that moved to Buenos Aires
in the early 1980s, releasing his solo album Abonizio in 1984. Subsequent
records include Los años felices (1990) and Rosarinos (1997). In 1991, he also
notably scored the soundtrack for the Argentine‑Cuban film De regreso (El país
dormido). In 2013, Abonizio earned the prestigious Premio Gardel for Best New
Tango Artist with Tangolpeando.
