Adjagas
Adjágas, a Norwegian Sami musical group, was formed in 2004 and composed of Sámi
joikers Lawra Somby and Sara Marielle Gaup, along with a supporting cast of
musicians. Adjágas gained early recognition when they were scheduled to open the
Pyramid Stage at the 2005 Glastonbury Festival, although their set was cancelled
due to flooding. They returned in 2007 to successfully perform on the same
stage. The group released their debut self-titled album in 2005, followed by
Mánu Rávdnji in 2009.
