Aapo Ilves, born on October 20, 1970, in Räpina, Estonia, is a poet, writer,
playwright, artist, and musician. His early background includes writing poetry,
plays, and lyrics in Estonian, Võro, and Seto languages. He has also written
song lyrics for other artists, notably contributing to Estonia's Eurovision
entries "Tii" in 2004 and "Kuula" in 2012. Aapo Ilves' musical career began with
the release of his album Murõt ei olõ in 2006. Ilves' literary works include
