Lisang Pacidal Koyouan is a Taiwanese singer of indigenous descent who performs
under the name A-Lin. Born on September 20, 1983, in the city of Kaohsiung, she
was discovered by an agent while teaching children how to sing the hymn "Amazing
Grace" after the 1999 Jiji earthquake. Even though she wasn't able to exchange
contact information at the time, she ran into him four years later at the bar
where she used to sing regularly and was offered a record deal. Lovelorn, Not
