5000 Volts were a British disco band and studio project formed in 1974,
comprising musicians Tony Eyers and Martin Jay, along with singer Tina Charles.
The group's origins trace back to the late 1960s when Martin Jay and Tina
Charles were part of the band Northern Lights. After their initial
collaboration, Tina Charles pursued a solo career while Tony Eyers continued as
a composer and studio musician. In 1975, Tony Eyers wrote "Bye Love" and "I’m on
